Leavenworth, KS. Linda Bardot, XYL of Vic KEØSYO, invited Amateur Radio Emergency Service® to speak on Monday, August 12, 2024 at the Leavenworth P. E. O. meeting being held in the Jahr Room of the Leavenworth Public Library. Rick Reichert, NJØP, provided a 30-minute presentation on the many emergency communications related activities of our many interests: PKARC, ARES®, SHARC, JARA, and AREDN (Mesh). The talk was well received and our special, service-minded hobby has a new band of friends and potential new Radio Amateurs.
