February 24, 2024 Freeze Your Keys – Winter Operating Event
This all-day event took place under amazingly mild winter conditions at Weston Bend State Park in Weston, MO. We operated as WØEBB. The PKARC event was sponsored by the Kickapoo QRP Club. Gary WØMNA reports the following statistics: o 27 in attendance including visitors. o 36 states worked. o 8 countries worked. o 8 stations on the air. o Modes used were CW, SSB, FT8, FT4, RTTY. o Bands operated on were 40, 20, 17, 15 12 & 10 meters. o Starting temperature at 07:00 was 25 degrees. We meet the first Thursday of every month (except December) at 7:00 pm at the Pilgrim Community Church, 500 Arch Street, Leavenworth, Kansas. Visitors of all ages welcome.
We conduct testing for all Amateur Radio license classes by prior arrangement. Connect with us via the Contact page. Preferred venues for testing are Thursday morning breakfast at The Depot 1887 or in conjunction with our monthly meetings at Pilgrim Community Church.
