Welcome Emergency Preparedness Fair Attendees

If you’ve been to the March 23rd Annual Emergency Preparedness Fair and want to give back to your community through emergency preparedness, you’ve come to the right place. An Amateur Radio license is definitely your first order of business. Whether weather spotting or supporting pubic events, such as the the Veterans Day Parade, being able to talk on Amateur Radio puts you in direct contact with other volunteers and public officials. Amateur Radio works when the phones go out. The Leavenworth area has a robust network for Amateur Radio operators. A license and a simple, inexpensive hand-held radio allows you to have 2-way conversations with other Radio Amateurs locally or around the world. Getting an Amateur Radio license is easier than ever and no code is required.
