In an annual tradition that dates back to the time of wagon trains crossing the prairie, the fuel of of friendship and courteous Amateur Radio operations the PKARC Buffalo Chip Award has been passed.
On Thursday, January 2, 2025, Keith Collier KFØKBC (right), 2024 Buffalo Chip holder passed the famous wall adornment to Loren Mead KBØYME. Loren will display the award in a prominent place where anyone passing will ask, “Is that thing on your wall an actual buffalo, um, chip?” The answer is, “Why, yes it is!”
Congrats to Loren. We’ve had a lot of fun with the award over the years, but it really does represent a well-respected member of our club.
