20th Annual “Freeze Your Keys”

February 24 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Amateur Radio winter operating event will take place at the Day Use Shelter (39.39120N, -94.8777W). This is our 20th year.  This event is sponsored by the Kickapoo QRP Amateur Radio Club (a Pilot Knob Amateur Radio Club affiliate).  We will be operating portable HF radios in all bands and modes.  Bring your own gear or help with another station.  Plenty of trees for testing new antennas.  Shelter has concrete floor, open walls, roof, fire pit, and electricity.  Wear something warm and bring something warm to sit on. Come to visit, operate, or help out.  All Radio Amateurs and those interested in becoming a Radio Amateur welcome.  Club operates under WØEBB callsign. Lunch is chili but bring your own drinks and snacks. Something to share with others also welcome.

Want to work us?  More information is on ARRL Special Events Calendar.  Search for WØEBB.

Inclement weather may close the park. Check with the park before heading to Weston or contact us on 145.33 (-) 151.4 Hz repeater in Leavenworth for talk-in.
